Care-giver for adapted tours worldwide M/F

Your main tasks

  • You will be accompanying a person with a disability (motor disability, autism, mental disability, learning difficulties, mental health problems, hearing disability, visual disability), whatever their level of independence.
  • You will be responsible for all the tasks involved in the holidaymaker's daily life.
  • You will be required to help with getting up, toileting, dressing and eating.
  • You will manage and administer treatments.
  • You will also be required to use medical equipment (patient lift, shower chair, medical bed, sit-to-stand device).
  • Depending on requirements, you will use an adapted vehicle with a ramp at the rear (if the person is in an electric wheelchair or has no foot support and must travel in a manual wheelchair) and will secure the wheelchairs.
  • You will drive an adapted or light vehicle over long distances between the holidaymaker's place of residence and the place of accommodation, as well as on excursions.
  • You will manage the budget for the holiday and excursions

Your skills

  • You are a qualified nurse, nursing auxiliary, specialised educator or educational and social support worker (AES).
  • You have at least 2 years' successful experience in the disability field
  • You will have initial experience of methods and practices in the field of medical equipment (patient lifts, medical beds, sit-to-stand devices).
  • You will be able to lead activities and be familiar with health and safety regulations.

Desired profile

  • You will be able to adapt quickly, with autonomy and empathy, and you will have a concern for well-being.
  • You will be available, punctual, a good listener and knowledgeable about tourism.
  • A driving licence is required.

Remuneration

Contractual conditions

  • Fixed-term contract under French law (for EU nationals) at 83 euros gross per day worked, 10% precariousness allowance and 10% paid holiday at the end of the contract.
  • Assignments outside mainland France are paid at an additional rate of 10%.
  • Sundays and public holidays are paid differently, depending on legislation.
  • The contract covers the 2 days of pre- and post-transportation from the accompanying person's home as well as the entire stay. Contracts vary in length depending on the holiday, which is tailor-made for the holidaymaker.
  • Your pre- and post-transport costs, as well as all your expenses during your stay, are fully covered by the agency.
  • Your salary is paid at the end of the month, after the holiday, depending on the dates of your assignment.
